Dr. Kathy McLemore went to Spring Branch High School in Houston.
She then attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree and then TAMU College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating as a DVM in 1988. During that time, she worked several summers at Briargrove Animal Clinic as kennel help. This was vital in sparking her desire to become a veterinarian. After graduating, Dr. McLemore worked at Pet Vet Animal Hospital in West Houston for 33+ years.
As of, March 2024, she has come full circle — back to Briargrove Animal Clinic! The family / friend / team atmosphere has not changed. It’s like coming home.
Dr. McLemore’s hobby / passion is showing her Doberman pinschers to the highest levels of AKC competition in obedience, tracking, agility, rally, and conformation. And, of course, following animal trails and getting lost in the woods!
